It has an implementation of the JCRService based on a Xythos implementation of the Jackrabbit SPI. To build it you will need the JCR SPI jar and the supporting Xythos JCR jars from a Xythos installation. ( And a license from Xythos).

Setup (this is what I know so far)

  1. Setup a repository as per the Xythos installation instructions.
  2. try to build the xythosservice project, you will get some Download jar failures.
  3. Copy the missing jars into the repo at the right place from the installation lib directory
  4. build, deploy
  5. configure the Sakai tomcat instance to contain a Xythos configuration.
  6. Start up
