Sakai User Activity Tool
NOTES
Tools to be included:
- Assignments
- T&Q
- Gradebook
- Evaluations
- Resources
- Forum
- Wiki
- Polls
- Q&A
Conditions:
- Only display tools that are in site menu
- Assignments, T&Q, Gradebook, Evaluations and Polls only visible to users with roles that have been granted applicable rights
- POLLS: Only show Poll detail if total votes for that poll exceed 5
- Q&A: Only show questions asked if NOT anonymous. Only show answers if the question has 5 or more participant answers (i.e. not official responses) AND they come from at least 5 different users (answers are always anonymous, so only provide indication of which questions have been answered)
Information Architecture:
- If total activity numbers for a tool exceed 3 then link number to separate summary page (e.g. Tests completed: 4 )
- List recent activity (max 3 entries)
- Text links go directly to the relevant tool
- If activity is 0, then hide the recent activity links & list (see Wiki example below)
UI:
- Use default Sakai tool icons alongside titles
- Expand / Collapse icons reveal/hide summary detail (javascript)
- All tool elements collapsed by default
- Expand all / Collapse all options
- Abbreviate text strings to 35 characters
