Karen Swan is the Stukel Distinguished Professor of Educational
Leadership at the University of Illinois Springfield, where she also is
involved in the Center for Online Learning, Research and Service
(COLRS). Dr. Swan's research has been in the general area of media and
learning; her more recent interests include online learning, ubiquitous
computing, and education policy.

Have you used Sakai to create a dynamic learning environment that has enriched your students' experience? If so, consider applying for the 2010 Teaching With Sakai Innovation Award. This award publicly honors successful pedagogical innovation and best practices in teaching and learning in a Sakai environment. Winners will receive a trip to the 11th Sakai Conference, June xx-xx 2010, Denver, Colorado, USA to give a featured presentation about their teaching with Sakai. All entries will become part of the openedpractices.org repository of best teaching practices.
