This Week for QA

This week for QA, Monday - Wednesday, we are focusing on general testing the 80 JIRAs that make up the 12.4 release.  The goal is to release Sakai 12.4 by this Thursday, September 20.JIRAs to be QAed for 12.4 of new features on Master (the next version of Sakai).  The branch for 19 will be cut either Friday this week or Monday next week.  After that, our QA efforts will focus on regression testing high priority tools, tools that have seen the most changes, and new features.

JIRAs new features in Sakai 19

Steps for testing
  • Select a JIRA you feel comfortable testing, assign it to you, and test it using the Test Plan in the JIRA.
  • Once your JIRA is tested and the fix is confirmed, change the JIRA status field to VERIFIED.
  • Can't confirm the issue is fixed?  Comment on the JIRA letting the reporter/assignee know the outcome of your test.
If you find a JIRA with no test plan, ask for one in the comments for the JIRA.
  • General testing on these features are fine this week
  • If you have problems with new features, comment on the JIRA or open a new JIRA

Server to use for testing 12.4Merges from Master will be suspended on the 12.x branch during testing this week.  All testing for this release
All testing this week will take place on the 12.x Maintenance Branch on MySql server.

The QA team will follow up this week about testing progress and any release updates for 12.4.Master -
