Set-up Project Site

Please do not use the scripts below.  The OSP test scripts have been moved to a public Google Docs spreadsheet, which is available at: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AldPCURzarLgdDY0TmJxcFV1R3hQaHZyWXRUbUpTRlE&hl=en_US#gid=0. This will allow concurrent editing of each script and easier documentation and tracking of results.

Script Information

Description

The project leader for a project site with portfolio tools logs in, and imports Forms, a Matrix, Wizards, a Portfolio Template, etc.

Testing Steps

This script imports a matrix that was exported from a 2.7 site in order to exercise the Indiana University matrix enhancements.

Navigate to Project Site

Step

If currently logged in from a previous activity, Log out

Log in as instructor. In top-right corner of 'Welcome' page enter:
user id: 'kfoster'
password: 'kayla'
Click 'Log in' button.

Select Test Project site from the list.

Project Home appears.

Add Participants to Project Site

Step

Click Site Info from the main menu.

The 'Test Project' Site Info page is displayed.

Click Add Participants link at the top of the screen.

The 'Add participants' page is displayed.

In the 'Official Email or Username' textarea, enter the following usernames (one per line, as shown below):
mdora
njarrett
zmortimer
cowens
Click the radio button next to 'Assign each participant a role individually'
Click Continue

The 'Choose a Role for Participants' screen is displayed.

For the users 'mdora', 'njarrett', 'zmortimer', use the drop-down to select access
For the user 'cowens', use the drop-down to select maintain
Click Continue

The 'Add participants to Test Project' page is displayed.

Leave the 'Don't send' radio button selected and click Continue

The 'Confirming Add Participant(s)...' page is displayed. The name, id and role of the each person added in the previous step is listed.

Click Finish

The 'Test Project' Site Info page reappears.

Importing a Glossary

Download this file glossary export and save to your desktop

Click Glossary from the main menu.

The 'Manage Glossary' list page is displayed.

Click Import at the top of the screen.

The 'Import Glossary' page appears.

Click Select file... next to the 'Glossary File' textbox.

The Resources list page is displayed.

Click Add and then Upload Files from the menu.

The 'Add Attachment' form page is displayed.

Next to File to Upload Click Browse to locate the exported_glossary.zip file that is located on your desktop.
Click Continue

The Resources list page displays the 'exported_glossary.zip' file under 'Items to attach'.

Click Continue

The 'Import Glossary Terms' page re-appears with the name of the zip file populated in the Glossary File textbox.

Click Replace the existing term with the importing term
Click Import

The 'Manager Glossary' list page appears with the new glossary items displayed. In addition, there is a confirmation message at the top of the page The import of terms was successful

Click Edit beside one of the items to ensure that the descriptions imported correctly.Make a change to the description and click Save Changes.

The 'Edit Glossary Term' page appears and all information is filled in correctly.

Click Import again and select the exported_glossary.zip from Resources. Make sure Replace the existing term with the importing term is selected.
Click Import

The glossary items should have overwritten the previous glossary terms. Verify that the description you modified has been overwritten.

Importing a Matrix

Download this file 2.7 Import Matrix.zip, and save to your desktop.

Click Matrices from the main menu.

The 'Manage Matrices' list page is displayed.

Click Import at the top of the screen.

The 'Import Scaffolding' page appears.

Click Choose file... next to the 'Import File' textbox.

The Resources 'Add Attachment' page is displayed.

Click Add and then Upload File from the menu.

The 'Upload Files' form page is displayed.

Next to File to Upload, click Browse to locate the 2.7 Import Matrix.zip file that is located on your desktop.
Click Upload Files Now

The Resources 'Add Attachments' page displays with the '2.7 Import Matrix.zip'  file under 'Items to attach'.

Click Continue

The 'Import Scaffolding' page re-appears with the name of the zip file populated in the Import File textbox.

Click Import

The 'Edit Matrix Properties' form displays

Change Title to Communications Matrix
Verify that all settings have imported correctly

'Style' = 'Professional Style'
'Progression' = 'Vertical'
'Custom Form' = 'Contact Information'
'Reflection' = 'Reflection'
'General' and 'Item' Feedback Options are set to 'Unrestricted'
'Feedback' form = 'Feedback'
'Reviewers' lists '1. maintain (Role)'
'Evaluation' form = 'Evaluation'
'Evaluators' lists '1. maintain (Role)'

Click Save Changes

The 'Edit Matrix' form displays

Click Return to List

The 'Manage Matrices' list page appears with the new matrix displayed.

Click Preview under the imported matrix

The 'Preview' link is replaced by the 'Publish' link.

Click Publish

A Confirmation dialog appears

Click Continue

The 'Matrices' list page displays.

If the tester is not interested in Wizards, you can skip to Importing a Portfolio Template

Importing a Sequential Wizard

Download this file Sequential_Communications_Wizard.zip, and save to your desktop.

Click Wizards from the main menu.

The 'Manage Wizards' page is displayed which lists any wizards that have been added to the CIG.

Click the Import link at the top of the page.

The 'Import Wizard' page is displayed.

Click Select Files link next to the 'Name' textbox.

The Resources area - Select Item page is displayed.

Click Add and then Upload Files from the menu.

The 'Add Attachment' form page in Resources appears.

Enter the following:
File to Upload Click Browse to locate the file Sequential_Communications_Wizard.zip that was saved to your desktop.
Click Continue

The Resources list page re-appears with your item listed under 'Items to attach'

Click Continue

The 'Import Wizard' page re-appears with the name of the .zip file in the 'Name' textbox.

Click Import

The file should import successfully and a new entry should appear in the 'Manage Wizards' page with the name of your wizard.

Importing a Hierarchical Wizard

The Resources form page in Resources appears.

File to Upload Click Browse to locate the file Hierarchical_Communications_Wizard.zip that was saved to your desktop.
Click Continue

The Resources list page re-appears with your item listed under 'Items to attach'

Click Continue

The 'Import Wizard' page re-appears with the name of the .zip file in the 'Name' textbox.

The file should import successfully and a new entry should appear in the 'Manage Wizards' page with the name of your wizard.

Importing a Portfolio Template

Download this file Contact Template 2.7.zip, and save to your desktop.

Click Portfolio Templates from the left-hand menu.

The 'Manage Portfolio Templates' list page is displayed.

Click Import at the top of the screen.

The 'Import Template' page appears.

Click Select File next to the 'Template File' textbox.

The Resources 'Add Attachment' page is displayed.

Click Add and then Upload Files from the menu.

The 'Upload Files' page is displayed.

Next to File to Upload, click Browse to locate the Contact Template 2,7.zip file that you downloaded in step 1.

The 'File to Upload' and 'Display Name' fields are populated with the file information.

Click Upload Files Now

The 'Add Attachment' page redisplays with the 'Contact_Template.zip' file under 'Items to attach'.

Click Continue

The 'Import Template' page re-appears with the name of the zip file populated in the Template File textbox.

Click Import

The 'Manage Portfolio Templates' page re-appears with the imported template now listed.

Click Publish

The 'Publish' link disappears.
