The goal of this work is to make it easy for faculty to move materials from their Sakai class site to an open OCW site. We describe a new OCW tool under development designed to tightly couple with the eduCommons software to support easy creation of OpenCourseWare sites. We discuss the technical features of the tool, and demonstrate how this tool could help ease the conversion from active course sites to OCW sites, and hence increase the scalability of OCW practice.
