Description:

User Activity is designed to show the history and details of a user's activity within a site from a single place. The primary use case for this is to support lecturers or tutors (=instructors / TAs) who want to look at the pattern of participation of a particular student in a course for academic diagnostic purposes (or to support, acknowledge, encourage or grade the student's online participation). Secondary applications might be for users to see details of each other's contributions. This will be complementary to Site Stats and the IU Feeds tool.

The project is being developed in UCT's svn repository. It will be moved to Sakai's contrib repository when it is further developed.

Architecture:

The tool will have a dependency on Site Stats but will not have hard dependencies on other tools/services, instead using EntityBroker to fetch required information.

Full implementation will require supporting code in other tools/services, so this tool won't be usable with an OOTB Sakai release or maintenance branch until Sakai 2.7.
