Planning Teleconferences Notes

Notes from 1st Teleconference to discuss panel on November 17th.

  • we have 2 hours for our panel, with 7 panelists we will restrict our talks to 10 to 12 minutes to allow time for discussion
  • I should do a statement of the problem to be addressed and the context at the beginning
  • We will begin with the procedural or process discussions first (Daphne and Gonzalo) followed by the more technical discussions
  • We will bring posters illustrating the approaches being presented
  • Several panelists will bring handouts
  • topics that require further discussion will be continued in BOFs
  • we will have a slide showing the progression of the panel up throughout the talk so people can follow along and orient themselves regarding the problems to be addressed
  • Daphne will talk to Mary and Mara about the co-scheduling of all UI related talks at the same time and try to get that changed

Finally we will hold another call after Thanksgiving.
