Notes
In talking about Mara's questions above we all felt like we'd like to be involved and intergrated with the Requirements WG. The problem is that everyone is overloaded with no time to participate in the requriements WG in a meaningful way. Colin may try to start attending those meetings.
Discussion around the level of granularity of the current requirements in jira. Many are at the right level technically but not from a user experience perspective. From a UX perspective it's important to see relationships across the requirements at the users goal level. We talked about this group looking at the requirments and think about the right level of granularity, how they may be grouped in a different ways to help with UX analysis, and what's the process for incorporating UX into the requirements process.
Decisions:* Move forward with the idea of this group becoming a UI Roadmap WG that focuses on the working with requirements and the requirements team. We can use this time for our weekly meetings. See specific action items around this below. CAN FOLKS HELP ME OUT WITH A MORE DETAILED EXPLANATION HERE. MY NOTES ARE LESS FULL THAN I REMEMBER AND AFTER A 4 DAY WEEKEND I'M HAVING SOME TROUBLE REMEMBERING THE CONVERSATION.
- Need to write a WG proposal and get approval from board. First DO will write draft for feedback from this group and the folks on the requirements WG.
- Need to send out an invite to the UI community to see who else would like to participate.
- Need to ask Tim if he'd like to participate in these meetings. If not, can we move the time so it's more reasonable to people on the East Coast (before 5:00).
-
- Meet every week for at least the next month while we flesh out goals and strategy for the group
- What else?
Start Revolving note taking next week (based on alphabetical order of first names): Marc, Mara, Kristol, Kathy, Judy, Daphne, Colin
ACTION ITEMS:
DO - 1) Send ppt from U-Camp summary to group, 2) Put together draft WG proposal for "UI Roadmap WG" and send to this group along with requirements group
Colin - Make sense of (and potentially synthesize) Top 5 Issues sent in by Support pre-Ucamp

I would like to add one item to the agenda. I would call it something like "aggregate what has been discussed on the User Interaction and User collab sites". There were quite a few interesting discussions on the mailing lists that we somehow should capture/aggregate to come to some common understanding:
a) "Revise" or "Edit" (and the greater theme of creating Glossaries),
b) "There must be some way out here..." (we need some methodology and tools that fits more people, so that more people can do design-related activities within the community).
Regarding the Atlanta U-Camp reflection I would like to reiterate that there are some short-term improvements on our afternoon list and/or support top 5's that we should try to identify and put forward to the rest of the community to be solved asap. My suggestions would be: 1/ uploading Resources a la Flickr Uploadr and 2/ the Back button and 3/Reset arrow and 4/the need to scroll down to find out which actions (i.e. Buttons) are possible within the transaction.
