There are two projects underway to bring a new forum tool to Sakai
- Message Forums out of Indiana. They have extremely detailed specification (actually a good model for what a spec should be).
- JForum for Sakaifrom Foothill College. JForum is a Java-based discussion tool & Private Messaging tool.
