Meeting Notes

  • Round the table: who's working on what:
    • Barbara
      • Fluid uPortal user testing (has a little free time)
    • Erin

Introduction: University of Toronto, new member of Fluid, primarily working on Open Collection

      • working on Sakai Paging/Pagination, specifically collecting patterns and documenting the use of paged content inside Sakai with the goal of defining ways we can customize the Sakai pager for different uses.

Digression on how to get UX changes into Sakai:
Erin has been noticing many UX issues in Sakai and would like to know how to get those issues fixed.
Group consensus is that anyone noticing a specific user experience problem in Sakai should write up a JIRA ticket, as either _Issue Type: Bug
or Issue Type: Feature Request (your call) and make sure to select User Experience in the Component/s field (you can select more than one item in the Component/s field, so an issue can be written up both against a specific tool and User Experience at the same time.)

    • Shaw-Han
    • Eli
      • working with Daphne on the Image Gallery and the subsequent Fluid components that fall out of Image Gallery
      • keeping up with Sakai dev, trying to head UX issues off at the pass.
    • Judy
      • Webcast administrative component (built on top of Sakai), Fluid components that may come out of Webcast
    • Daphne
    • Allison
      • Design Pattern library, also working on Paging/Pagination, transitioning over to contextual inquiry
  • Open Source Design Pattern Library
