Is it helpful to have the "Sort by" that Gaurav's PowerPoint had? Is this a necessary feature or too troublesome?

In some skins, those are rendered with shaded bars. In others they are rendered without shaded bars. That depends entirely on the skin supplied the admins of the sakai server (OnCourse's skin uses a lot of red, while CTool's uses a lot of blue). It is generally not a good idea to hard-code things that should be left up to the skin. We could hard-code in a gray bar, but it might turn out that we select a shade of gray that is hideous with the particular shade of pink used as a highlight elsewhere in the page by the designers who create the skin for IU.
