    Date/Time: Thursday, June 9, 2:30 p.m.
    Location: Davidge Room
    Leader: Zach Thomas

    Purpose

Avoid duplication of effort on dealing with feature gaps.

    Common gaps:

    Data issues import/export
Email tool (Steve Gibbons already working)
Reporting tool (planned for Sakai 2.5)
Groups (planned feature in Sakai 2.1 - possibly October/November)
    Content view/layout
Discussion Tool (collect, lock/unlock, anonymous post, archiving)
    Renaming Buttons
    Gradebook
Course Cartridge support (this may take a while)

To avoid cookie and uPortal problem, it was suggested loading the blackboard login page in the background (or a hidden iFrame) and immediately redirect to portal login. This will properly set the cookie.

Readiness survey (readiness of system, not the faculty)

It also was pointed out that Export Course != Archive Course. One carries more content/settings than the other.

The problem with comments is that they're un-editable, as I've just discovered. I'll pull the content into the editable space.

Curses. It just times out for me, too. Anyway, just wanted to say that I think it's Steve Githens at Northwestern who's doing the email tool.

Thanks for the correction, Clay. Maybe we'll get it working someday. I'd just scrap the page and create a new copy, but I can't find any way to delete this one.

Yup. I haven't gotten a chance to work on in the last couple weeks because I've been busy at work, but it's next in my queue of "tools to move from 1.5 to 2.0"

I had gotten a few emails previously from people saying they wanted to modify it, before I go to much farther, has anybody forked it or added something that I could merge back into it?

It will probably take me 2-3 weeks to get around to having this work well in 2.0 and iron out some of the annoying problems.
